Kpanche community in Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State, yesterday was invaded by people believe to be herdsmen.
According to report, herdsmen invaded the community in the early hours, razing down five houses and unspecified number of vehicles, tricycles, motorcycles and other property.
Also, 16 people were reportedly killed by the herdsmen.
It was gathered that the herdsmen were fully armed with weapons and waste no time immediately the invade the community.
According to commissioner of police, the victims included five residents of the community while five of the bandits were also killed by the security agents.
