PDP Rubbish Invasion Of Senate Chamber

Following the invasion of the Senate chamber earlier on Wednesday, Opposing party PDP has condemned the act.

The National Chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, described the incident as a national embarrassment, saying the time has come for well-meaning Nigerians to rescue the country from total collapse.

Uche Secondus and other party leaders were In Akure, Ondo State capital, on their way to Ekiti State for a meeting.

Speaking with reporters at the Akure Airport, Secondus said the time has come for Nigerians across divides, to rise up and rescue the country from collapse.

But a former lawmaker and APC chieftain in Ekiti State, Senator Ayo Arise, ranked the party as the better alternative, in the face of challenges facing the country.

The visit to Ekiti is part of plans by the PDP leaders to ensure the party presents a united front for the July 14 governorship election in the state.
