The inspector General of Police Idris Ibrahim, has appoint some intelligence response unit which has dived into action, concerning the attack at Offa which claims 17 lives, according to the kwara state CP Lawan Ado.

Kwara state CP Lawan Ado, while speaking with reporters in Ilorin, "when they attacked,some riffles were carted away from the Police station" according to him.
It was reported that 17 people were feared dead, and nine Policemen were killed during the attack.
According to Lawan Ado seven suspects have been arrested in connection with the robbery.
The Police boss said seven vehicles were recovered at Igbosun where they were abandoned as the robbers ran into the bush.
Five banks were attacked according to him which include Zenith bank, Eco bank, First bank, Union bank, GTB bank and a Community Bank at Igbolo community.
The residents of Offa community are assured of adequate security of their lives and property according to the CP, indicating that those involved in the robbery attack will be arrested.
