The Nigerian Air Force and the Army have successfully stop an attack at the University of Maiduguri, Borno state.
NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information Air Vice Marshal, Olatokunbo Adesanya said the suicide bombers tried to gain access into the University but were quickly detected by the NAF Special Forces.
The vest on one of the suicide bombers detonated before they could gain access into the hostel. Only the suicide bomber died in the attack.
Adesanya said troops are still searching for other fleeing terrorists and urged residents to be vigilant.
