As part of mending the fences with its estranged leaders, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has brought back former Oyo state governor, Adebayo Alao-Akala on board ahead of the governorship and state house of assembly elections scheduled for March 9.
The purpose is to mend fences and build a way forward to ensure the success of their candidates in the coming polls.
After meeting with the national leader of the ruling party, Bola Tinubu, Alao-Akala returned to the APC to work for the party, dumping Action Democratic Party (ADP).
Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, who paid Alao-Akala a visit in his home said the issue that made him leave the party has been resolved.
The duo briefed reporters on their stance and the support for the APC governorship candidate in Oyo, Mr Bayo Adelabu.
Recall that president Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the ruling, got fewer votes in the state compared to that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This was part of what led to the defeat of Oyo state governor, Abiola Ajimobi in the National Assembly election.
