A 25 year old son, Babangida Usman and his mother, Hafasat Aliyu have been arrested by the niger sate police command, for beating their father/Husband, Ali Haruna, to death at their home in Chanchaga local government area, Minna, Niger state.
Reports claimed that Haruna and his wife Hafasat got involved in a serious aguement which lead to a serious fhight between the couple.
Source claim the wife started the fight because the husband is siding the daughter on an issue. Meanwhile, as soon as Babangiga heard about it, he rushed home while defending the mother joined hands in beating the husband which cause serious injury on him.
He was immediately rushed to the IBB Specialist Hospital for treatement, where he was later confirmed dead.
Usman when talking to news men said he was only protecting his mother who always got maltreated by the father,but did not know that it will lead to death.
According to Usman:
"that was why I always protect my mother from maltreatment of my father.“My mother is not safe with my father because of his temperament, everyday there must be an issue that would escalate to fight. I never knew he would die, I was only protecting my mother”.
