Army Dismiss Claims That Boko Haram Earns More Than Soldiers

It was earlier reported that Sidi Ali Mohammed a member of the Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative, alleged that Boko Haram Fighters earn up to  $3,000 daily, while Nigerian soldiers earn as much as N1000 daily. Read here
But the Nigerian Army has denied a claim credited to a member of the Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative, Sidi Ali Mohammed.
Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa, in a statement yesterday in Abuja, said the report was “pure lie and a highly irresponsible comment coming from a supposedly knowledgeable person of his calibre.”
He added: “It is also criminal and preposterous to compare the gallant soldiers of our armed forces with the rag-tag terrorists’ criminal gang.”
Indeed there is no such basis at all between the outlawed criminal terrorists who commit crime against humanity and our highly patriotic, courageous and brave soldiers whose sacrifice cannot be quantified.”
