According to cross river governor, Singapore investors are ready to partner in business with cross river
Governor Ben Ayade stated this on Friday when he led some cocoa investors from Singapore to the State Organic Seed and Seedlings Centre in Ikom Local Government Area of the state.
Represented by the Special Adviser on Cocoa Production, Oscar Ofuka, the Governor said the new improved organic cocoa production in the state, will give Cross River State an edge over other states in Nigeria with hundreds of young farmers currently engaged in the project.
On their part, the Singapore investors led by the Chief Operating Officer of Arcadier Farms, Kenneth Low and Adaeze Ekwueme, said their interest in Cross River cocoa production in commercial quantity, would boost the state’s agricultural policy.
With the new improved organic cocoa seed and seedlings introduced by the Cross River State Government according to the Governor, the production lifecycle has changed to less than 2O months.
