Minister Of Finance: After The Introduction Of Whistle Blower Policy, 8bn Has Been Recovered









This was revealed by the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, at an evaluation workshop on the Whistleblower Policy and the role of the inter agency asset tracing team on Friday.

The Whistle Blower Policy was introduced in December 2016 to provide means by which public individuals with information about the violation of government financial regulations can report to raise the alert.

This initiative is essentially designed to enable government have adequate information on corrupt officials and public servants.

The Minister of finance, in a message to the occasion, did a brief analysis of government’s achievements so far. 

Some participants at the workshop gave score cards of the benefit in the anti-corruption fight and ways  to improve the policy.

States and local governments and the private sector were advised to join the fight against corruption as the Federal Government alone cannot do it.
